Various Colors
There are lines of various colors going through my laptop screen, why?
My laptops screen had a red line going through it from top to bottom, this line goes over all applications and is even there on startup, this morning a green line appeared next to it, and almost every hour since another line has been appearing, There are currently about 15 lines of various colors going through my screen, I have had my laptop for 6 months and have taken very good care of it so it cant be obsolete. Someone please help!
It doesn't go away at all?
If you haven't physically damaged your screen, this could be due to the pixels failing. When they fail, usually it's just white, however other colors can appear as well. Pixels just tend to "die", either from old age, or damage (like smashing the screen). When this happens, it usually happens in grid form (vertically or horizontally), causing a line like that.
If it doesn't affect your every day computer activities, it shouldn't be a problem. However, if it gets worse, unfortunately buying a new laptop would be the way to go, unless your laptop's warranty covers this. Screens are the most expensive part of the laptop and take up the most of the price, so buying a new screen for the same laptop is worthless.
