Splash Saucer
What are you the most proud to have memorised?
When I was a teen I was really proud to memorise the chemical structure of chlorophyll which has this really beautiful symmetry. Now I'm proud to be able to say The Lord's Prayer in 3 different languages; English, German and Hebrew. I am also proud that I memorised a monologue from Father Ted about tea:
I love the whole tea-making thing,
The playful splash of the tea as it hits the cup,
The thrill of adding the milk and watching it settle for a moment,
Before filtering slowly down through the cup,
Changing the colour from dark brown to... a lighter brown,
Perching an optional Jaffa Cake on the saucer like...
Like a PROUD SOLDIER,
Standing to attenTION BESIDE A GIANT... cup of tea...
Oh just think Father, remember all the great times we had when I USED TO MAKE THE TEA!
nothing as clever as you but i do find memorising my husbands pin number very handy
