What do you do if your son is a monkey hiding in the attic?

It has been brought to my attention, my son could be hiding a monkey in house.Both me and my wife were awakened by screams up high in the night.When I asked my son what he might be he said he not hiding monkey.But someone had mentioned to him a monkey. I fear the monkey will go nuts and kill someone What do I do as a parent.
