Sand Molds

Molds of body parts, common resins are much too expensive for my own project turned to mold my feet. ?

I thought to use paraffin wax melted, but what could I cure with? Paint rubber? Sand mold? I'm not looking for professional results, is an assignment to do with anatomy. Any other suggestion of paying by the nose for first-class cast resin body would be useful.

Once you get the plaster mold - fill it with air dry clay (spray Pam or other nonstick inside the first mold). According to the clay that you get - it might shrink a little or crack when it dries so you may need to add some more clay or fill some cracks to look "anatomically correct". Since it is only for a one-shot thing, you can make it look pretty by coating joint compound (to be used for drywall and available at any hardware store - it's very cheap) - sand and the coat a few times and the copper sheet, then you can paint or even - according to your final plans! (I think it could be pretty cool if you leaf copper and then put wax aged copper on top of that). Enjoy!
