May 2010 wedding! Small, simple, affordable and elegant!?

I'm looking to get married next May ... I'm away from ideas! I like a little fam. and he does. Not everyoe means so I wanted to try to keep it small, simple, affordable and elegant! But the most important part is remembered! He would love for us to get married if it's just him and me with our bestfriends (husband and wife) Please help! I want to welcome about 40 people and again! We live in Fort Mill, and we have a clubhouse. My first thought was the ceremony backyard clubhouse and the reception! Lol! I'm just tired. I have everything else lined up and ready to go. I know I have one year ... but I wanted all the way and no worries! The site / location is the main! Please please please give you advice honest. A budget friendly place to consider is your local city parks. Many city parks are beautiful with flowers blooming, grass green, etc. You can do so outside of marriage (a florist can be a beautiful tree) and you'd have to rent chairs. Some city parks have buildings that you can use for a reception as well or you can rent a large tent. Just a thought. Use nature as a backdrop is always the cheapest way to go.
